It's a rather old vintage item. I only used it a couple of times in the past to brew tea, and it has been displayed in a cupboard since then. There are no smokers in the house. Please understand that this is amateur storage and there is some age-related deterioration. As an aside, a friend of mine said this pot could be used as a vase, which I think is a lovely idea. It's a relatively large pot, but the elegant design makes it look luxurious just by displaying it. I am also selling a sugar pot from the same series.
