The background is Kyo-Yuzen, one of the three major Yuzen dyeing techniques in Japan, which flourished and developed in Kyoto. As a technique of gorgeous and magnificent dyeing, it is known worldwide. THE KYOTO BASSEN debuted in 2023 from JOHNBULL as a new project that applies dyeing to denim using the Yuzen technique by Kyoto artisans. This time, as a first attempt, a collaboration with LAULHERE was realized. The base beret is the BRUCE, which is inspired by military berets and features an impressive lace-up back. It is a beret with a small diameter among LAULHERE products, and is designed to be worn with the opening exposed and fitted to the forehead. It is also recommended to wear it by tilting the entire beret back or diagonally. It is a stylish item with a unique shape that sets it apart from general berets. LAULHERE was founded in 1840 and is the only existing long-established beret brand in the Basque region of France.
