This is a UK HMV unnumbered (12-inch single-sided, stereo, two-disc set). White label, completely unreleased. Test pressing, not for sale. Matrix numbers and sequential numbers are "2YLA30-1G" and "2YLA31-1G". Naturally, the mother number and stamper code are all "1-G". Since neither mono nor stereo commercial versions were released in the UK at the planning stage, there was no jacket from the beginning. Comes with the original inner sleeve with a "Not for Sale" seal for sealing. The record is in new condition with no scratches. Condition doesn't really matter much with this kind of record, but my honest impression is that it's amazing it has survived in such a well-preserved state. It's impossible to ask for more. The recordings are: Schubert "Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, D.485" Schubert "5 Minuets and 6 Trios, D.89" The performers are: Rudolf Barshai conducting the Moscow Chamber Orchestra. Vienna Boys' Choir Recorded June 10-13, 1964, at Salle Wagram, Paris. A masterpiece that needs no explanation. There were no early stereo releases on the UK ASD or French ASDF labels. The charm of the original UK pressing is different, with an overwhelming spatial reproduction and a remarkable elegance, allowing for a superb sound reproduction. A phantom record.
