This is a repress of the popular 7" single featuring re-edits by UK re-edit master Jim Sharp, reworking classic reggae tracks by Max Romeo and Sister Nancy. Released by the Canadian label Black Buffalo. The A-side features a reconstruction of Jay-Z's "The Black Album" track "Lucifer," combined with its original source, Max Romeo's classic "Chase the Devil" (1976). The B-side features a nice remix of Sister Nancy's popular song "Bam Bam," which was also sampled in the remix of Quakers' "Approach with Caution feat. Sampa the Great," remixed by Jim Sharp for DJ use. This is a record that highlights the appeal of classic songs with gimmicks, showcasing the skills of Jim Sharp. ■Tracklist: SIDE A 1.
