Excerpt from the Ritto City website: On October 1, 2021 (Reiwa 3), our city celebrated the 20th anniversary of its municipal status. We are deeply grateful to everyone for their cooperation over the years. To commemorate this, we have created "Horse Cards" (Ritto Horse Cards) with the cooperation of those involved. More than 50 years have passed since the Japan Racing Association (JRA) Ritto Training Center opened in our city in 1969, and we have been promoting our city as a "city of horses," home to one of only two training centers in Japan. By utilizing the "Horse Cards" created on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the municipal status, we will further promote the appeal of the "city of horses" both within and outside the city.
