I purchased this at the select shop in the Sukhothai Hotel in Bangkok. It's a placemat with a folk craft feel, reminiscent of Japanese Mingei. It cost around 2000 yen. It appears to be a piece of Hmong handicraft, with lovely appliqued details. Different fabrics are used for the front and back, indicating it's a carefully crafted item. One beige placemat also has sashiko-style stitching on the border. Although it's new, please consider it as a home-stored item. Thank you for your understanding.
