Price reduced. This is a special antique rice bowl from Arita ware, originally manufactured by the Nabeshima clan. The meticulous brushwork, seemingly drawn with individual hairs of the brush (the lines are incredibly fine), the thin yet plump shape... I fell in love with it at an antique shop and purchased it for ¥35,000 over twenty years ago. I've kept it carefully stored away. The white porcelain ground is also truly beautiful. Two bowls were used only once, while the other three have not been used at all. However, perhaps because I handled them so cautiously, one bowl has a chip, which I had repaired with gold lacquer. It's pure gold. As I'm afraid to use them, I'd like to offer them to someone who will cherish them. Thank you.
