He was implicated in his master's persecution and exiled to Echigo, where he married Eshinni and had two children, Zenran and Kakushinni. Later, he was pardoned and evangelized in Hitachi, Shinano, Shimotsuke, and other areas, establishing Jodo Shinshu and preaching salvation for all through Amida Buddha. His writings include "Kyogyoshinsho" and "Gutoku Sho." Also known as Kenjin Daishi.
