Compared to the production volume, Oregon sunstone is overwhelmingly scarce, as it is mined almost exclusively in one place. Therefore, it can sometimes be sold at exorbitant prices, such as 10,000 yen per gram. While even regular sunstone has few particularly beautiful specimens, this is especially true for Oregon sunstone due to its low production volume, even including lower grades.
