This is a sake cup made by Yoshita Mito, a Kutani ware artist who was designated a Living National Treasure in 2001. It is in the shape of a chigiri (torn piece) and features gold brocade hand-painted in purple, one of the traditional colors of Kutani ware, on the lower part. It is a simple sake cup with white porcelain overall and a single point pattern on the bottom, but it is finished elegantly with gold accents on the rim. I think it's a slightly larger size than a guinomi (small sake cup). Shipping is planned using a 60 size cardboard box. Thank you very much.
