Metal jaw harp by Hungarian jaw harp maker Zoltán Szilágyi. This is an early ZULU model, and is currently unavailable. Purchased in the early 2000s, I enjoyed using it for its ease of playing and its deep sound. It is 90mm in length, a medium-sized model for Zoltán's work, with a deep, low-mid range sound. The right-angled, asymmetrical body is easy to hold. Later models were named "Zulu Doromb" and seem to have a smaller, slimmer head. There is no rust on the body, but there is some plating peeling on the tip of the reed. This ZULU appears to be an early model, and was listed in the complete list of Zoltán's works. It originally did not come with a box, so it will be packed in styrofoam to prevent the reed from bending (see the last photo). I am also selling a South Indian jaw harp, the morchang. It has a strong attack and a percussive feel. 4 left.
