Items from my parents' house. A Komamuri tray. Natural wood, Urushi lacquer finish. The entire surface is decorated with Komamuri (whirligig) lacquer. Komamuri is a type of lacquerware, featuring concentric circle patterns painted with colored lacquer such as red, yellow, green, and black. It originated in Japan around the Edo period. The whirligig (koma) is considered auspicious, and its colorful design is beautiful, making it a traditional and popular pattern. Diameter: Approximately 33 cm Weight: 543g The tray has a diameter of about 33 cm, giving it a powerful presence. It's a lacquerware piece with a strong presence, suitable for display. It has been stored in its box for a long time. I believe it is unused. Part of the sticker on the back has peeled off. The box is dirty and deteriorated. Shipping method may be subject to change.
