This is an Ikeda-ya randoseru (Japanese school backpack) optional accessory, a multi-functional pocket, in navy blue. I was excited to buy it along with the randoseru, thinking I could put a recorder in it, but my child's school doesn't allow anything on the sides of the backpack except for the lunch bag... so I'm sadly letting it go. I used it about twice (without knowing it wasn't allowed) to hold a folding umbrella. There is no noticeable damage, but please understand that it is not brand new.
