This is a component relic guitar, with the brand and other details of the body and neck unknown. The original finish of the Stratocaster type has been stripped and finished with nitrocellulose lacquer. It's a combination of a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with a two-piece alder body, featuring a 22-fret neck with fret ends extending over the fingerboard. When I purchased it used, I was told the neck and body might be Fender Japan, but I haven't been able to confirm this (photo 20). Please check the photos of the body after the paint stripping (photos 17 and 18). The tuners are from a Fender Mexico Vintera II 60s, and the bridge is likely a Gotoh NS510, although I'm not certain about the saddles. The string spacing is 10.5. As a bonus, I'll include a Gotoh block saddle with 10.8 spacing (photo 19). The pickups are the hard-to-find Gotoh ST Classic set, with the middle pickup reverse-wound. During setup, the middle and rear pickups were installed in reverse. The controls are, from the neck side: master volume, rear tone (orange drop), and blender. The blender allows the rear pickup to blend in series with the front pickup steplessly. At 10, it's the rear pickup alone, and at 0, it functions as a humbucker with hum cancellation. I only use the front and rear pickups, so a new OAK 3-way selector switch has been installed (photo 16). → Changed to a 5-way switch. As an aside, when I create a sound with the front pickup and am satisfied with it, I sometimes feel dissatisfied with the rear pickup. Therefore, this wiring configuration, which allows you to fine-tune the rear pickup settings with the blender and rear tone, is highly recommended. The nut has been changed to a Graph Tech TUSQ (5042-00), and the frets have been replaced with Jescar's so-called Narrow Tall (♯55090). The tremolo springs are ESP type 1, and the rusty color is part of the original specifications. It will be packed in a soft case and shipped in a guitar-sized cardboard box without disassembly. Accessories include the Gotoh block saddle mentioned earlier and an arm bar (aftermarket). Please feel free to ask if you have any questions! #Stratocaster #fender
