This is a furubakusa (tea ceremony silk cloth) by Chieko Tsuda. It has been stored at my parents' home for a long time. 16 cm x 14.8 cm. It is a katazome (stencil-dyed) geometric pattern on tussah silk. It has the unique atmosphere and nuance that is characteristic of Chieko Tsuda's work. As shown in the second photo, the texture of the hand-spun wild silk thread of the tussah silk enhances the patterns, making this a very unique furubakusa. Unused, the condition is very good, but there are some slight folds in the tissue paper. I will wrap the box in bubble wrap and send it via Yu-Yu Mercari delivery.
