This is an Aquascutum stanchion collar coat. It's a standard coat with a hidden placket and raglan sleeves, but it's also a belted coat with an umbrella yoke on the back and a belt. From the front, it looks like a regular stanchion collar coat, but from the back, it's a bit unusual, looking like a trench coat. It's recommended for those who think trench coats are too imposing. Although it has a center vent instead of an inverted pleat, Aquascutum trench coats used to have center vents, so it actually looks like a more orthodox back style. The size is UK40, which is large, but the sleeves have been shortened. The sleeves are just the right length for an average adult male, and the length is long with plenty of room in the body. You can wear it loosely, and you can create a defined silhouette by tightening the waist belt. Although it's not a single-sleeve coat, I don't think the shoulders will be too big, which is common with old stanchion collar coats. There are no shoulder pads either. There is a slightly darkened area on the tip of the belt. It also comes with a wool liner, so you can use it from around this time of year (autumn) through winter.
