The autumn fair that opened on October 15, 1973, was the 34th, with over 150 countries and regions participating, and numerous export goods, industrial and agricultural products, and new scientific and technological achievements were exhibited. To commemorate this, on the same day, the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the People's Republic of China issued a commemorative stamp for the "China Export Commodities Fair" (1 type, 1 stamp). The design of this stamp depicts the exterior of the China Export Commodities Fair building located in Haizhu Square, Guangzhou.
