The ends of the hem threads may appear white, but this is due to the white core thread and is not dust or debris. If you are concerned, you can cut the ends (please do so at your own risk). The dress is hand-washable, but the bolero is not (dry cleaning is possible). I haven't washed the dress because it might change the texture. I also haven't had the bolero dry cleaned because the swirling pattern might be ruined.
