The gourd carving is particularly detailed, even on the underside, and the designs of the flowers and insects resting on the lower part of the gourd are adorable. The material is unknown, but it appears to be old red wood. It can be used as a small container or ornament, and because of its interesting design, although it is large, it can also be used as a kogo (incense container) for tea ceremony utensils.
