The rubber on the upper T-track is split into front and rear sections, allowing for the attachment of various accessories without cutting. However, when I purchased it used, there was some lifting of the rubber on one side (right side of the vehicle?) and I couldn't fix it, so I repaired it with black wide vinyl tape. There are no issues with operation or functionality. This is a used item, and the THULE emblem is gone, with some traces remaining, but I appreciate your understanding.
