The base pouch part has fusible interfacing sandwiched in, making it flat but firm. The strap is detachable, so you can remove it and use it to hold small items or books. The strap is soft, so if it's too long, you can tie it to adjust it to your preferred length. It's hard to capture the color well, but it's mint green.
