This is a teacup I purchased at an antique market. I liked its rugged appearance, so I brought it home. The glaze on the inside is beautiful. The deep green color gives the impression that it will gradually whiten with age. Like moss on a rock face. The roughness of the rim and the color of the clay further enhance that feeling. When I hold the teacup in my hands, it's quite interesting; I feel like I'm holding a natural rock. The rim is thin, but because it's uneven, I feel a roughness within its delicacy. There's a dent that looks like a mark on the side of the foot. There are several chips on the rim. Some are from the old days, and some are more recent. Size: Height: 7 cm Width: 14 cm
