Last month, I purchased the console used (in very good condition) on Amazon, so it's generally clean. As shown in the photos, the console has only a tiny scratch on the back, and there are no noticeable scratches or stains. The joystick shows some signs of use, and the grips have fine scratches due to sliding them on and off. The box has some slight tears. The console works without any problems or defects.
