This is an En-taka-jū (tiered food box) by Shizumine Ōya, a Wajima-nuri lacquer artist, from my mother's collection of tea ceremony utensils. The color is best represented in the 6th and 7th photos. The 1st to 4th tiers are of the same construction, while the 5th tier has a flat bottom. It is in very beautiful condition with little sign of use, but due to its nature, the bottom of the 5th tier has some scuffing. All the parts were wrapped in the orange cloth that guarantees Wajima-nuri (some stains are present). The box has writing, stains, and signs of aging. Please take a look at the photos and understand before purchasing. ■Size Square: Approximately 17.2 cm on each side Height of one tier: Approximately 5.8 cm Height with all 5 tiers and lid: Approximately 27.7 cm
