The high-quality figured ovangkol chosen for the sides and back of the body (see photos 4, 5, and 6) has a tone that is just between rosewood and mahogany. Combined with the solid Sitka spruce top, it has a sound that seems to condense the best parts of a guitar. In addition, it is equipped with a James original active PU system, an under-saddle piezo type. The pickguard sheet has not been peeled off. The top Sitka spruce is also thick, and the build is solid and resonates well.
