I believe the exterior is in beautiful condition. The focus ring feels a bit stiff, but it works fine and takes beautiful photos. The lens appears to be free of mold, haze, and balsam separation when viewed with the naked eye. There is some coating deterioration on the front element. There is a slight deformation on the nameplate, but it's hardly noticeable. The aperture blades are free of oil and function perfectly.
