My uncle purchased this from a friend who is a kimono wholesaler in Kyoto's Muromachi district for 1.5 million yen. I purchased this to match the yukata I had tailored from the fabric I received when I was a fan of Takanohana (a sumo wrestler). Someone who does Western tailoring, like Issey Miyake, could likely create a wonderful dress from this fabric as well.
