Koishiwara Ware Green Glaze Yunomi (Teacups) C & D Set of 2 Size: Height: Approximately 6.2cm Rim Diameter: Approximately 7.5cm Weight: 136g, 123g Capacity: Approximately 200ml (when full) These are yunomi (teacups) from Koishiwara Ware, a pottery from Fukuoka Prefecture. They are sold as a set of two. The cups are covered in a calming green glaze, and have a unique unevenness in the glaze and iron spots, giving them a tasteful appearance. As they are handmade, there are variations in pinholes, areas where the glaze didn't fully cover, and glaze drips. While there are no chips from use, some cups have crazing (cracks in the glaze) in the interior. These yunomi have a plump silhouette and a stable feel. Recommended for those who appreciate Mingei (Japanese folk craft). Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to used items.
