Xingzhou Kiln White Porcelain Bowl Tang Dynasty Height: 11cm Width: Approximately 13cm From Xingzhou (present-day Neiqiu County, Hebei Province) during the Tang Dynasty. The transparent white porcelain glaze predates the white porcelain (yingqing glaze) of Jingdezhen by several hundred years. The delicate white body is extremely white, so it is not decorated. Those with rougher bodies are given a white slip. The white glaze is slightly silvery gray; the finest examples are snow white.
