This cable does not introduce color distortion (e.g., due to a separate amplifier) and is simple but high-quality and efficient. It's important to have a reliable cable to use as a reference when evaluating your console. Due to the use of luma for sync, this cable is NOT compatible with the SNES Jr., which does not have an S-video output.
