The deeply dyed color (persimmon tannin dye) and the sashiko stitching for repairs give it a very nice flavor. A thick interfacing has been applied to the main body. The gusset is a bellows fold, so it opens wide. There is one zippered pocket, free space on both sides of it, and six card pockets. The card pockets are vertical and horizontal, and can hold several cards each. Bills can be folded in half or inserted without folding by sliding them under the zippered pocket. This fabric was actually used in sake brewing, dyed with persimmon tannin and reinforced with sashiko stitching.
