iBook Model Number: M6497 Initialized with Mac OS X/10.4 Processor: 500 MHz PowerPC G3 Memory: 576 MB SDRAM With AirMac Although the photos show OS 10.3, it has been initialized with 10.4. It's ready to use after initial setup. The LCD screen has deteriorated considerably due to aging, but it is usable. The deterioration is internal to the LCD. The cloud-like shadows in the center of the first and second photos are examples of this. The CD/DVD tray does not eject properly with key operation, so a modified clip will be included. To use it, gently push the pin part about 5mm into the small hole in the right corner of the tray. DVD reading is fine, as evidenced by the successful installation. CD writing has not been tested. The battery is completely dead, but I have attached it anyway. It appears to have leaked (or gassed out?) during long-term storage, but there is no swelling. Due to the leakage (or gas leakage?), white powder has formed and may spill out slightly from the inside, but it doesn't seem to have any functional adverse effects. AC power adapter is not included. Please prepare a Portable Power Adapter/Model Number: 8482 separately. You should be able to buy one for around 2,000 yen on a flea market site. Due to the above conditions, please consider this as junk. How about it for Mac beginners, parts, or research? The price is almost without profit.
