Set of 5 lidded nimono-wan (煮物椀) with a design of red flowers and houses. These were stored in a storehouse. They are from the Showa era. Diameter 13cm, height 6cm. They are somewhat large. These bowls can be used for various purposes such as simmered dishes, noodles, and simmered fish. They show signs of use. There are minor scratches due to age, although they are not very noticeable. The box is also similarly deteriorated. They are described as Nakayama-nuri (中山塗り), but the material is plastic (they sank in water; wooden ones would float), and the lacquer is likely synthetic lacquer, not genuine lacquer. Please understand the quality before purchasing. They will be shipped via Takkyubin (宅配便) in an 80-size box.
