These are tapered pants I purchased from GLOBAL WORK a few years ago. I think they can be worn in a wide range of situations, from business to casual. The fabric is dressy, but it has stretch and I think they are relatively easy to wear. The front waist has a hook and button closure. The back waist has elastic.
