This is a hexagonal trinket box that has been stored in a closet since the Showa era. I believe it's likely synthetic lacquerware, but I can't tell the difference from regular lacquerware, so I'm not sure. I apologize. It has a deep color, with a strong red hue and a slight mix of vermilion. It's an old item, so there are scratches and stains. Please check the photos.
