This is a lacquered Besson cornet. Due to its age, there are minor scratches and lacquer wear that don't show up in the photos. Additionally, there is a crack in the 3rd piston cap (see photo 11) and rust on the 3rd trigger screw (see photo 12). The pistons and slides are not stuck. There are traces of sticking on the main slides. If you are concerned about this, please refrain from purchasing. I own a silver-plated version of the same instrument, but I purchased this one at auction because I fell in love with the beauty of the lacquer and the red bell color unique to this era.
