As this is an old item, there are color transfers and stains (discoloration) due to aging. There is a large color transfer and stain especially on the back lining. (White parts) It cannot be washed at home or dry cleaned (only at a specialty store), so it has not been washed, but I don't think there is a strong smell of storage agents, etc., but please understand that this is a personal opinion.
