Camellia is hard and dense, known for its warm, calming color and beautiful grain. The surface has been finished with four coats of urushi lacquer, bringing out a moist luster and depth. The backside has been experimentally treated with resin containing phosphorescent pigment, but it does not glow. This is simply a processing experiment, and there are individual differences in the finish. Please consider this as a textured piece with character.
