How about this for those seeking nostalgic sounds and a traditional sampling workflow? ^ - ^ The disk drive successfully reads the OS disk (see photo 3) and can be used without errors. The sound from the headphone output was clear and easy to hear, and sample playback, editing, recording, and sequence playback have all been confirmed to work. There are too many features to check them all, but no functional problems have been found. (Did you know that the SP-808 can trigger MIDI modules and enter sample patterns chromatically with a MIDI keyboard? I'm amazed at the capabilities of this machine. Although the resale value has decreased because Zip disks are outdated media, there are certainly enthusiastic fans who love retro and can unleash their creativity!) There are some scratches and signs of use (see photo 4), but the four sliders have been replaced with those from other Roland devices. To prevent damage to the disk drive during transport, it will be securely packed in recycled cardboard with multiple layers of bubble wrap. Includes the main unit, OS disk, 5 spare Zip disks, and power cord.
