This guitar for sale is a flamenco guitar made in 1959 by Yoshihiro Taniguchi. Mr. Taniguchi was a classical and flamenco guitar player who published instructional books and taught the next generation of musicians. He was also involved in guitar making alongside his performance activities. In addition, he accompanied and instructed the Takarazuka Revue and was active in promoting flamenco and classical guitar in the Kansai region. The top is a thin, tight-grained spruce soundboard, the sides and back are beautiful, thin, quarter-sawn sycamore, the neck is a slender, sturdy mahogany, the fingerboard is jet-black ebony, and the bridge appears to be quarter-sawn rosewood. The rosewood trim around the top and back is also beautiful, and although there are no side braces, it is believed to be a solid wood construction. The heel joint is German-style, and the guitar is made thin and light overall, making it easy to handle. Sixty-six years have passed since its construction, and the well-seasoned materials produce a beautiful tone. It offers a unique atmosphere and sound, different from modern guitars, making it enjoyable to play flamenco, bossa nova, and other genres.
