This fabric is inspired by Takamatsu Hariko (Takamatsu paper mache), a traditional local toy from Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. Takamatsu Hariko has been made since the late Edo period, and the servant lion is popular as an auspicious item that wishes for the healthy growth of children. I opened it once to check it for this listing. There are fold marks, but it is a beautiful item without any scratches or stains.
