This is a pair of French Army M-47 cargo pants. They are a late-model version from around the 1960s, made of cotton herringbone fabric. The size is 31. Actual measurements are approximately: waist 80cm, inseam 61cm, total length 89.5cm, and hem width 24.5cm. The hem was shortened to about a 7/10 length from the time of purchase. It's a perfect size for intentionally wearing them short. From anecdotes about Martin Margiela and others, you can feel the quality of French military construction, making these military pants that need no explanation.
