Plarail Hirake! Ponkikki: Riding the Bus to Kindergarten (1977) Rare Set, Showa Era [394] This is one of the Ponkikki series toys that Tomy released in the 70s. Although it's Plarail, it seems to have been released as a separate item. It comes with Gachapin and Mukku dolls. This toy is for young children who will feel nostalgic for the characters from Fuji TV's "Hirake! Ponkikki." ■ Around 1977, "Plarail Land" appeared, targeting an even younger generation than the original Plarail audience. Unlike Plarail where you build your own layout, this series was designed to be a complete set with gimmicks focused on viewing. The layout was compact, using colorful 90° small curved rails, making it easy to play with without taking up much space. In addition to the Plarail brand, collaborations with Ponkikki, Sanrio, and Disney brands were also released and continued to be developed in a low-key manner until the 90s. As this is a toy from the early Showa era (1975-1985), there is significant age-related deterioration. Please understand this before purchasing. ■ The sticker on Gachapin's face is peeling off. Unfortunately, the small yellow flag is missing. The bus operates normally, but extra stickers have been applied, and the front sticker is damaged. There should be a plastic protrusion on the left rear wheel, but it appears to be damaged (see photo 16). The sign sticker is damaged on one side (see photo 11).
