Formed in 1996 in Glasgow, a city that has produced many bands such as The Pastels, Teenage Fanclub (with current drummer Francis Macdonald also serving as the band's manager), and Belle and Sebastian, they debuted in 2001 with the album "Biggest Bluest Hi Fi." They gained popularity with their nostalgic 60s-style songs, refreshing harmonies, and, above all, the warm melodies that touch the heart, unique to Glasgow bands, and became a hot topic in Japan. Their 2nd and 3rd albums were released from the Superchunk label MERGE, and they also achieved a major breakthrough in the United States. They are coming to Japan with their latest album "My Maudlin Career," released this year after a hiatus of about three years, and have moved to the prestigious label 4AD. The Tokyo two-day performance will also be supported by Cookie Scene, and luxury guests are scheduled to participate. It will be a must-see for all pop fans.
