The cord is made of cotton that has been waxed, not leather, and has a fishing line core. It is recommended for pendant tops and bag charms. I think you'll feel uplifted just by looking at it! Since it is handmade, it is not a perfect sphere, and there may be bubbles. It does not have the same robustness as a mass-produced product, but I make each one carefully.
