This is a Valentine typewriter made by Olivetti in Italy. It fits snugly into a red case, with the case lid and handle forming the back of the typewriter. I bought it used about 50 years ago when I was a student. I only used it for a few years during my student days and then put it away. The case shows a considerable amount of wear and tear. The ribbon was faded when I bought it, and after half a century of disuse, it seems the ribbon no longer leaves any ink. The keys seem to move without any noticeable problems. It might be usable if the ribbon is replaced.
