The first film in the "Army Nakano School" series, starring the period drama star Raizo Ichikawa, is based on a real-life spy training school that existed in Japan. Showa 13 (1938). Jiro Miyoshi, a graduate of the officer's academy, joins the army and is gathered with other officer candidates at a certain location in Tokyo. This is the "Nakano School," Japan's first spy training school, and Jiro and the others are selected as the first class. They change their names, cut off all contact with the outside world, and undergo rigorous training. Meanwhile, Jiro's lover, Yukiko, seeks clues to find Jiro, who has become unreachable, and begins working as a typist at the General Staff Headquarters. The film is directed by Yasuzo Masumura of "Tattoo" fame, with the screenplay by Seiji Hoshikawa of the "Sleepy Eyes of Death" series. Raizo Ichikawa Mayumi Ogawa Kyosuke Machida E. H.
