Purchased from an antique shop in Belgium. This is a plate from the Karl Tiemer workshop, founded in 1872. They are the only ones in Dresden to manufacture from raw porcelain. Due to being made entirely to order, the production numbers are low, making them difficult to obtain in Japan, and even more so for antiques. The painting is comparable to, if not better than, Meissen. The color here is a pale ivory. Please see the images for comparison. (8) It is a beautiful item without any chips or cracks, but please understand that there may be some light staining due to age (image 9), wear on the gold trim, and minor imperfections such as black spots that occurred during manufacturing.
