Red chisel for engraving (carving), round carving, blade width 1.5mm. This chisel is used for carving teardrop-shaped marks in pattern engraving. Please refer to image 4. Commercially available red chisels were formed and polished. They have been hardened and tempered. It has a slight R (curve), making it suitable for curved carving. ★While you can carve straight lines with a chisel for curves, it is difficult to carve curves beautifully with a straight chisel that does not have an R. You can use this as is, but the blade edge will dull and become difficult to carve with use.
