The rim is about 5mm thick and it's also lightweight. It's a simple and easy-to-use plate with the texture of the clay and the plumpness of the cream-colored glaze. There's a signature-like mark on the back of the dish, but it's illegible. I think I bought it at a hobby pottery shop or a craft fair. I'm organizing my mother's dishes, and although it's not new, it's in good condition with no chips or cracks.
